Disneyland 2012

Dan and Betsy invited me to go with them again to Disneyland and of course, I jumped at the chance.  It is a magical place.  We left on Saturday, April 28 and returned the next Saturday.  We spent a night going down and coming back in Las Vegas.
We met Sully from Monster's Inc. and he played so cute with Easton.
Riding the Dumbo ride and watching Addy and Dan was so fun.
Dan and Betsy's friends, the Smith family,  joined us on the trip.  Here we are with their 4 boys and Addy on It's a Small World.
On Tuesday evening we went to a special character dinner.  Goofy was the maitre'd who welcomed us and as we ate the good buffet dinner many of the Disney characters came to our table and visited with the kids and signed their autograph books.  It was a fun dinner.
Dan took Easton to a special store where you get to design and build your own car.  Easton picked a remote control Lightening McQueen.  It was hard to tell who was having more fun, Easton or his Dad.
Addy decided she wanted to build a car too and was willing to give up a special visit to see the princesses to build her pink convertible. We had lots of car races in the hotel room the rest of the week.
We enjoyed meeting Chip and Dale.
We happened to be in just the right place at the right time for the parade and had a fantastic view.
Easton was especially excited about everything he saw in the parade.  The people around us were watching him and commenting on his cute reactions.
Ellie was very cute petting the goats in the petting zoo.
Our girls in their polka-dot Minnie dresses got to meet Minnie Mouse herself.  Betsy made the cute dresses.  I want the yellow shoes!!  We had a very good trip although each of the kids got sick at different times during the week.  Betsy missed out on some of the fun tending the sickies.

2012 Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point

In late April, Matt and Jessica went to Europe with the BYU Women's Soccer Team so we got to spend some special time with Chloe, Landon, and Tanner.  Becky and I spent most of the week at their house so we could get them to school and to all their activities.  Grandpa and Scott joined us on Family Home Evening night for a trip to the tulip festival.  We took a picnic and enjoyed a beautiful walk around the gardens.
We are lucky to have such a beautiful place so close to home.  Kenneth buys a yearly senior pass and then he can get all of the rest of us in for half price which makes it affordable.  That's Tanner and me that didn't quite make the picture.
The children enjoyed the walking, the koi pond, the waterfalls, and rolling down the big hill just before we left.
They all loved playing in the fountain in the secret garden.

March 2012 Happenings

Adam turned 2 years old on March 24 and a Cars Birthday Party was very fun for him.  We were able to have the party outside and all the kids brought their riding toys and cars so we had some races and other fun.  We also had a treasure hunt.

Becky and Grandma worked hard to make little car cakes.

Time to open presents
.                                          Singing, blowing, and then the eating!!

                                                               Addy enjoying the party.

                                                            Sweet picture of little Ellie

Earlier in the month we had taken the following pictures of Adam as he visited us and "helped".
Here he helped us water the peach tree and prune the apricot tree.
Adam wanted to wear a hat just like Grandpa.
Nothing like relaxing with a book after a busy day!!

March 2012 Kyle's Baptism

We traveled to Colorado the first weekend in March to attend Kyle's baptism. It was a special day for a special young man.
Lindsey is driving!!  And doing very well at it too!!
She drove all of us to the dress rehearsal for their upcoming roadshow.  The girls did great with their singing and dancing.  Emily is the angel dancing with Lindsey.  Kayla is the redhead on the left dancing with a blond girl.
It was a short but very fun visit.

January 2012 Weekend at Bear Lake

For the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend all of our family here in Utah enjoyed a stay at the World Mark property in Bear Lake.  We had a mild winter so the weather was not too cold and there was very little snow.  We enjoyed the beautiful views, good food and swimming in the nice heated pool.
Matt and Dan and their families stayed in one unit and Kenneth and I shared a unit with Becky, Scott, and Adam.  That gave us plenty of room to play and relax.
The young and young at heart enjoyed the playground.
Chloe the gymnast was showing us some moves.
Addy had some good moves too.
The sunsets across the lake were beautiful.  While we were there Matt and Jessica shared with all of us the news that they are expecting a baby in August.  Wonder of wonder, miracle of miracles!!  We are all so happy for them.
